There are places that belong to history.
And there are places that belong to eternity.
Sicily is one of them.
For more than three thousand years, this island has stood as the Mediterranean’s enduring promise of beauty. Across the centuries, successive civilizations have left behind their own visions of the sublime, weaving together art, architecture, spirituality, nature and craftsmanship into a cultural legacy unlike any other.
Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Byzantines each contributed to shaping an imagination that continues to captivate and inspire the world today.
Taormina
Suspended between the sea and Mount Etna, between the radiant light of the Mediterranean and the legacy of the cultures that have shaped it, Taormina embodies the many souls of Sicily. Its terraces overlooking the horizon, historic winding streets and fragrant citrus gardens create a landscape of extraordinary beauty.
At the heart of the town stands the Teatro Antico of Taormina, one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic landmarks. Overlooking the Ionian Sea and framed by the majestic presence of Mount Etna, it is a masterpiece where architecture and landscape exist in perfect harmony. More than a monument, it is a living stage that continues to evolve through time.
It is here that Dolce&Gabbana’s Alta Sartoria event will unfold, within a setting that celebrates the magnificence of Italian tradition through one of the most remarkable backdrops in the world.

San Domenico Palace
Few places embody the elegance of Sicily quite like San Domenico Palace.
Founded as a Dominican monastery in the 15th century and later transformed into one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality destinations, the property has preserved the timeless charm of its remarkable history. Silent cloisters, manicured gardens and panoramic terraces overlooking the bay create an atmosphere where past and present coexist in perfect harmony.
Today, San Domenico Palace represents one of the most refined expressions of the Dolce&Gabbana universe, where the brand’s iconic motifs exist in seamless dialogue with the property’s architecture, gardens and extraordinary setting. Its historic spaces and rich cultural heritage will provide the backdrop for the Alta Gioielleria event, where the art of fine jewellery will meet Sicily’s enduring legacy in a celebration of craftsmanship, beauty and excellence.

Isola Bella
Just a short distance from Taormina, one of Sicily’s most iconic landmarks rises from the sea.
Isola Bella appears like a jewel suspended between water and sky. Connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand that shifts with the tides, it is home to a remarkably rich and protected ecosystem.
Its crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life and lush vegetation make it one of the Mediterranean’s most enchanting natural settings. Here, Sicily reveals its most authentic spirit — a place where nature, history and timeless beauty exist in perfect harmony.

Etna
A defining symbol of the island, Mount Etna dominates Sicily’s eastern landscape with a primordial presence.
Recognised as Europe’s highest active volcano, it is far more than a geographical landmark. For millennia, it has been a source of energy, fertility and inspiration, shaping the surrounding territory and enriching the land with exceptionally fertile soil that has nurtured vineyards, citrus groves and remarkable botanical gardens.
Its ever-present silhouette lends depth to every vista, transforming the landscape into a constantly evolving spectacle. Here, nature reveals its most powerful expression, renewing the profound bond between people and the land that has shaped generations.

Radicepura Horticultural Park
At the foot of Mount Etna lies one of the Mediterranean’s most remarkable botanical destinations.
Radicepura Horticultural Park was conceived by the Faro family, a historic Sicilian nursery enterprise, and extends across five hectares where more than 5,000 plant varieties and 3,000 species thrive. Here, research, landscape and culture exist in constant dialogue.
The gardens are home to the Radicepura Garden Festival, the Mediterranean Landscape Biennial and a series of permanent installations that transform every visit into an immersive journey through botany and contemporary creativity. It is a place where biodiversity is not only preserved, but celebrated as a legacy to be passed on to future generations. The estate also houses the Radicepura Foundation within an aristocratic residence built in the late nineteenth century by the Acireale engineer Mariano Panebianco.
Further enriching the experience are the historic Palazzo Nobiliare, an elegant nineteenth-century rural residence, and the Palmento, a former grape-pressing facility that stands today as a valuable testament to the agricultural traditions of the Etna region.
It is within this exceptional setting — where botany, history and Sicilian identity converge — that Dolce&Gabbana has chosen to stage its Alta Moda event.
