Behind every bag
Innovative techniques, such as 3D printing, that on every occasion redefine the design, the art of Fatto a Mano, the meticulous selection of elements, each contributing to the narrative of the city portrayed, the artisanal expertise and intricate inlay work give each bag the charm of Italian excellence and a unique character. The Dolce Box has always embodied all of this, since its very beginning.
The Designers drew inspiration from vintage vanity cases: small, structured and boxy travel accessories fastened with a padlock, evoking the secrets women keep behind their strong personalities. The first Dolce Box, introduced in 2013 and crafted in inlaid wood, reproduced an authentic eighteenth-century piece of furniture. In addition, the signature padlock closure of Dolce&Gabbana bags was embellished with a small orange blossom flower, a romantic touch reminiscent of Sicily.
Urban suggestions
The charm of different cities, each with its own distinctive character, has been captured through the dedicated Dolce Box creations. From Milan, portrayed in two versions — one replicating one of its historic trams and the other the Dolce&Gabbana boutique — to Rome, offering an evocative glimpse into its grandeur. From New York, told through a classic brick building along a vibrant Manhattan street, to Los Angeles, transformed into an open-air set framed by a dreamlike Californian atmosphere. Finally, the Cannes Dolce Box evokes the magic of cinema and its renowned festival through a glamorous allure.

A tribute to the beauty of the sea
Dolce&Gabbana has dedicated some of its special creations to seaside destinations, guardians of unforgettable summers and evocative gazes lost on the sea. Capri opens a window onto its Faraglioni and Mediterranean landscape, while Forte dei Marmi takes the shape of a striped beach cabin complete with everything needed for a day under the sun. For Saint-Tropez, the Dolce Box becomes a colourful boat infused with the scent of blooming bougainvillea.
Miami is portrayed through a light blue wooden beach hut capturing the radiant light of tropical coasts, while Portofino is represented by a small seaside boutique enriched with nautical details inspired by the Ligurian Riviera. A second Cannes creation takes the form of a small temple framing the warm light of the French Riviera. Finally, the beauty of a landscape suspended between sea and mountains is captured in the Taormina Dolce Box.
