For the second edition of Metaverse Fashion Week (28-31 March), a platform launched by UNXD and Decentraland, Dolce&Gabbana and UNXD will present Future Rewind, the first digital competition aimed at promoting young emerging talents.

With this competition, Dolce&Gabbana and UNXD invite participants to immerse themselves in the Dolce&Gabbana universe and include iconic design elements of the brand in their creations. The committee will search for traces of iconic Dolce&Gabbana DNA: Leopard, Zebra, the traditional Carretto Siciliano, Blu Mediterraneo, the famous DG logo and black Lace. To participate, each contestant will have to submit a minimum of 5, and a maximum of 20 all-digital looks inspired by one, or any combination, of these iconic Dolce&Gabbana prints and materials.

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will be personally involved in selecting the finalists, who will have the opportunity to present their creations in a dedicated Dolce&Gabbana space at Decentraland during Metaverse Fashion Week.

The Future Rewind competition marks the first time a luxury brand gives space to digital creators through personal and direct mentoring

“Creating an inclusive network to support young talent has been an important part of our philosophy for decades, and we are incredibly excited to extend that mentorship into the metaverse with the Future Rewind competition,” say the designers.

The competition also supports the Neo division of Metaverse Fashion Week, a pioneering initiative designed to further the growth of the creator economy and empower the next generation of digital fashion designers.
