From cinematic inspirations to the mastery of stage costumes, from location design to choreography and set creation — the Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda 2025 events in Rome came to life through artistic partnerships that helped make every moment truly special.
Cinecittà: the cradle of cinema
The inventiveness and creative flair of Dolce&Gabbana converged at Cinecittà for the Alta Moda 2025 events — the Italian epicenter of the seventh art and a historic crossroads for renowned directors and international stars — chosen as the exclusive setting for the final night.
Founded in the 1930s, Cinecittà reached the height of its success in the 1950s and ’60s, becoming the legendary ‘Hollywood on the Tiber.’
Here, among monumental sets and unrepeatable atmospheres, masterpieces such as ‘Quo Vadis?’ and ‘Ben-Hur’ came to life, featuring stars like Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, alongside Italian icons such as Anna Magnani, Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, and Vittorio De Sica.
Between takes, the breathtaking sets of ancient Rome welcomed guests of the Alta Moda 2025 events for the spectacular night of celebrations.
Dolce&Gabbana brought the magic of this incomparable place back to life, transforming its spaces into a true film set — a tribute to the golden age of Italian cinema, the beauty of Rome, and the spirit of la dolce vita.

Tirelli Costumi: between cinema and fashion
Meticulous attention to detail, refined materials and artisanal excellence have always been the values shared by Tirelli Costumi and Dolce&Gabbana. As part of the events marking Alta Moda 2025, the atelier’s archival pieces come back to life, once again taking to a prestigious stage to recount stories of bygone eras. These theatrical costumes parade in a sequence rich in evocative imagery, engaging in dialogue with Dolce&Gabbana’s contemporary vision of fashion.
A true protagonist in the world of theatrical costume, Sartoria Tirelli plays a leading role in the international cinema and theatre scene. Founded by Umberto Tirelli in 1964, the atelier has forged celebrated collaborations over the years with some of the most iconic film directors in history — including Luchino Visconti, Federico Fellini and Martin Scorsese. Many of these synergies were brought to life by Piero Tosi, the atelier’s legendary costume designer, whose work helped garner numerous international accolades, including 17 Academy Awards for costume design.
Between past and present, the great tradition of costume design shines once again, reaffirming an eternal beauty.
